Never underestimate the power of inspiring imagery. Pinterest have been booming the past couple of years and is now the third most popular networking site world-wide. Needless to say – it is already having huge impact on the e-commerce industry if you use is a great (and simple) tool to increase site traffic, strengthening SEO on and off-site and boost online sales. It’s all about visualizing the product your selling.

The simple how-to’s to use Pinterest for e-commerce sites:

1. Set up a Pinterest business account and verify it
2. Add the Pin It-button and widgets on your site
3. Name all your boards, pins and images to correspond with product names and relevant keywords – go through your analytics to find relevant long-tail phrases. Don’t forget to use hashtags.
4. Use high-quality images.
5. Make sure the images have relevant alt-tags (including your brand, product name and/or product category) and of course a good landing-page. If you upload images through Pinterest – name them properly.
